Iain joined Light Reading as News Editor in 2015, and now as International Editor, he is responsible for coverage of EMEA, Asia/Pacific and AI/automation. Prior to this, Iain spent 15 years as a freelance writer and editor based in London, covering the telecoms sector for outlets like The Economist, The Observer and a variety of trade and business journals. Iain was previously lead telecoms analyst for the Economist Intelligence Unit, as well as a features editor at Telecommunications Magazine and editor at market-research company Analysys Mason. He follows Blackburn Rovers, so if you remind him how good they were 20 years ago, he'll buy you a pint (of real ale, only).
