Viet Nguyen

VP, Public Relations and Technology at 5G Americas

Viet Nguyen is the Vice President of Public Relations and Technology of 5G Americas. He is responsible for promoting 5G and 3GPP-standard technologies with strategic communications to media and analysts, as well as planning and coordination with global wireless telecommunications organizations.

Mr. Nguyen is a veteran of technology and wireless industries, as well as the public sector. He most recently served in Microsoft’s Commercial Worldwide Business division driving analyst and media engagements for enterprise digital transformation customers. At T-Mobile USA, Mr. Nguyen managed public relations efforts to strengthen and protect the brand and image of the company’s network and on issues relating to privacy and security.

At Spectrum Networks, Inc. he helped launch a Seattle-based residential broadband service for high density multi-dwelling apartments and condominiums. He has also served as a legislative aide at the King County Council in the area of land-use and growth management and run numerous political campaigns.

He is an active member of his community and has served on the boards of Washington News Council, Fremont Neighborhood Council, and on the communications committee for the Urban Land Institute.

Mr. Nguyen earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at the University of Washington.
