Brent has been a champion for industrywide digital connectivity throughout his career. Prior to taking on the top position at AgGateway in January 2022, he served as its Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and North America Region Director beginning in 2014. Before joining AgGateway, he served with Southern States Cooperative in several capacities related to structured and unstructured data, exchange protocols, and business process analysis. His final role was as Manager of Process Development where he implemented electronic messaging for multiple business lines across a 15-state geography to achieve process efficiency and reduce costs.

In addition to his work with AgGateway, Brent serves on the United States’ mirror committee as Head of Delegation to ISO TC 347 on Data Driven Agri-food Systems. He also was a member of the FCC Precision Ag Task Force in its final term, and co-vice chair of the working group focusing on current and future connectivity needs. He earned his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary in 1994, and lives in Richmond, Virginia.
