Gilles Garcia is the Senior Director Business lead for Communications at AMD since 2016 covering Wired infrastructure, Wireless business, Service provider, and Channel customer Business development. Prior to this role Gilles held the position of Corporate Global Account Manager for TOP Telecom Account at Xilinx from 2011 to 2016. Prior to AMD & Xilinx, he was Director of Marketing for Wired Business unit and Marcom for AppliedMicro, HQ Sunnyvale in 2006 and Director of the Switch Fabric Business Unit in 2003. He also worked for IBM for 19 years, including four years as Strategic Marketing Manager of the IBM Micro-electronics division, where he was responsible for managing the switch fabric business & marketing group.

Gilles has a wealth of experience in the semiconductor industry, having worked with Switch Fabric, Ethernet PHY, NPU, Packet processing, Security, OTN, Wireless and other related technologies. He has held numerous roles in marketing, branding, strategic initiatives, M&A, business development, communication, market analysis, and networking markets. He has also been well-versed in customer relations, press relations, and developing communication plans. His extensive knowledge of the industry and his expertise in the Enterprise, Datacenter, and Telecom markets make him an invaluable asset to AMD.
