Nelson Englert-Yang is an Industry Analyst on the Strategic Technologies team at ABI Research. With a focus on 5G and 6G cloud-native systems, Nelson conducts custom and syndicated research supporting operators' digital transformation in an increasingly competitive landscape. He collaborates closely with vendors and mobile operators to understand their needs and challenges, offering analysis that informs the development and adoption of cloud-native solutions. Nelson has reported on a range of topics including network generative AI, cloud-based 5G roaming, and cloudification of the RAN. He holds an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and a PhD from University of Arizona in sociology of economic innovation.
