THE 2019 BBWF HIGHLIGHTS
This year in Amsterdam, BBWF was joined by more than 200 expert speakers and brought together over 4,100 broadband professionals from across the globe
Thousands of broadband professionals descended on the RAI for in-depth keynotes and exciting presentations from some of the most influential names in broadband, including Vodafone, Verizon, Deutsche Telekom, Telefonica, BT, ONF, KPN, Comcast, Liberty Global, Telia, Uber, Renault and more.
WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS
This year, BBWF hosted 3 expert workshops:
- ONF workshop on transforming the operator edge with curated open source networking
- 5G BASe workshop, exploring the reality of a 5G world for both consumers and service providers as well as the role of fixed in enabling these services
- Connected Home BASe workshop, delivering a market status update on the impact of consumer demands, partnering for OTT, architecture enablements and redefining Wi-Fi performance with T-398.

- Gerry McQuade, CEO at BT Enterprise, who discussed the 5G vertical use cases and monetisation
- Babak Fouladi, Chief Technology & Digital Officer at KPN, who explored the journey to becoming a digital operator

WOMEN IN COMMS PANEL
This panel focused on engaging, encouraging and empowering women in telco, covering topics such as: how can enterprises take a proactive approach to improving gender balance, how can the industry be more attractive to women, developing role models to support engineers & more.
NETWORKING HAPPY HOUR
Our attendees enjoyed an hour each day of free drinks in our exhibition, where they could mingle and network with our 4,100+ strong audience of broadband professionals and make real connections.
THE EXHIBITION
Our expo this year welcomed over 150+ broadband solution providers who showcased their latest products and innovations. From Tier 1's to start-ups, the full ecosystem was represented.
THE START UP SHOWCASE
This year saw some top start-ups battle it out for the coveted title, which was taken by LifeMote! They presented their AI-driven WiFi Analytics and Proactive Maintenance Platform on the cloud for the Internet Service Providers.
THE BROADBAND AWARDS
This was a night to remember - with a completely sold out venue, we welcomed the industry's leaders for an evening of celebration and to recognise this years achievement sin broadband
