Ian is the Research Director for Omdia’s Transport & Components practice. He is responsible for strategy, client, product and team development for one of Omdia's most advanced technology practices. Managing a team of communications technology professionals, he covers how the communications service providers, internet content providers and enterprises utilize and deploy the leading edge optical networks, components and routing technologies. Ian covers the edge compute, data center interconnect, optical components, and optical networks systems markets. Ian received his MBA from Queen's University at Kingston in Canada and a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Manitoba.
