Why Attend MVNOS Latam

The excitement in the MVNO market has been going back and forth, but with the “main” markets (Europe and US) starting to saturate, many eyes should turn to the new regions, being Latam one of the most important ones.

The regulatory bureaucracy is still among the main issues, especially in Brazil, but other countries in the region, as Colombia, Chile, Mexico and Argentina are evolving and starting to expand. If the MVNO market in Latam has ever been of interest to you, this is definitely to event to be in.

The discussions will help you understand the different views about the troubles from the past few years, the possible reasons why things did not work as planned and how to deal with them and what are the actual possibilities of making MVNO happen in the region.

ABOUT MVNOs LATAM

The MVNOs Latam market is still mixed. There are success stories where the right ingredients exist for MVNOs to succeed. However, in some countries, although MVNO regulation has been in place several years, we are yet to see any meaningful penetration by MVNOs, due to  operational and commercial challenges and the reluctance on part of MNOs to fully back the MVNO model.

For MVNOs to succeed in Latam, they really need to have a compelling, disruptive value proposition that differentiates from the market and addresses a niche segment in a specific and personalised contextual way, with complete redesign to be app focused; in order to scale profitably MVNOs need to find efficiency in their operating model, to be cloud based and lean organisation.

Despite these challenges, MVNOs have the potential to exploit the opportunities stemming from the new digital age and the growing youth demographic in Latam – both in offering personalized offers and experiences to digitally savvy customers and in utilizing OTT applications to better serve customers and offer additional and complementary Value Added Services, especially MFS and content combined with a mobile service.

Innovation, agility and scalability are the key factors of success in this new digital economy for MVNOs. MVNOs Industry Summit Latam is the most important event on the topic of MVNOs in Latin America and is now in its 8th edition and for the 3th time in Mexico.
