The Africa Tech Festival Awards are back in 2022 to celebrate the innovators in technology & telecommunications who are enabling transformation, inclusivity, and digital democracy across the African continent.
The winners will be unveiled during an exclusive drink reception held at the CTICC in Cape Town on 9 November.

Networking drinks across the Festival
The show floor is a buzzing hub of activities where 10,000+ architects of Africa’s digital future meet to network and do business. But there is also space for drinks and for taking a break.

InspiringFifty Africa Reception
The annual InspiringFifty Africa Reception will take place on Tuesday 8th November, with the beautiful city of Cape Town as our backdrop.
The evening will be a celebration of women in tech, bringing together the leaders of the African Tech Community, as we honour our InspiringFifty South Africa Alumni. The gala is an excellent opportunity to re-connect with peers and forge new relationships over serendipitous moments, whilst we collectively look toward the future and discuss how we can actively work together to inspire the next generation of leaders.
InspiringFifty is a global initiative run by EQL:HER which aims to increase diversity in tech, providing women in STEM with the recognition and platform they deserve, and inspiring the next generation of leaders and tech talent by providing positive role models across the tech ecosystem.
Show Floor Happy Hours
We know that catching up on the latest industry news and rubbing shoulders with African tech’s biggest players can be tiring. So if you have sore feet, are losing your voice, or just want to unwind with a cold beer, our Happy Hour Drinks are just the remedy.
Our Happy Hour Drinks take place on the exhibition show floor at the close of the content. There will be live music and free drinks. The best of it: they are open to everyone!
