Push Notifications
In your contract, you may be provided with a number of push notifications that will be sent from our networking app to attendees during the event.
Final Deadline to send through copy: 3 November
Please provide the following:
- Headline – no more than 12 words
- Copy – 1 or two sentences
- Link – preferred URL where we will send the push notification to. This can be your website URL, networking app company profile, speaking session or speaker profile.
- Time and day you would like the push notification sent out. Please note that we will try keep to your preferred time as much as possible but cannot guarantee it will go out as specified.
Africa Tech Festival Newsletter Inclusion
As part of your contract, you may be entitled to a banner advert or short content advert (including logo and sponsor message) in a pre-event Africa Tech Festival newsletter sent to all subscribers.
In 2023, we have created a spreadsheet where you can secure your preferred type and date for the newsletter inclusion(s). The spreadsheet will be filled on a first come, first served basis.*
*Please note: If you have not provided the materials at least 3 days before the newsletter send date, we will not be able to include it in the newsletter and it will need to be rescheduled for AFTER the event has run.

- Banner size: 400px x 1200px

- Headline: No more than 12 words
- 1-2 short sentences
- Image size: 150x140px

Promotional Pre-Event HTML
Your contract may entitle you to a pre-event HTML, promoting your presence at Africa Tech Festival.
We've created a spreadsheet where you can secure your preferred date for the HTML. The spreadsheet will be filled on a first come, first served basis.*
*If you haven't provided the HTML at least one week before the send date, we will not be able to send it on your allocated date. It will need to be rescheduled for AFTER the event has run.
Specifications:
- Please provide email in HTML format – no other version will be accepted
- Subject line: No more than 12 words
- First reference of Africa Tech Festival needs to be linked to the event website
- Please provide any internal email addresses that the email needs to be sent to.
- We can’t guarantee that the email will be sent to them if they have received another email from us in the past 24 hours or have registered for the event, but we will still include the names.
Pre-Event Q&A
Your contract may entitle you to a pre-event written Q&A-based interview, published in Connecting Africa’s designated Partner Perspective section.
Specifications:
- Please produce 5-8 questions and answers aligned to your topic of choice
- The Connecting Africa editor will review and adapt slightly if they are too sales/marketing focused
- Q&A must not exceed 8 questions and 800 words
- Please provide a high-res, landscape (not square) image of the author
Deadline:
Please send your written Q&A to our customer success team and allow for a one week turnaround to get the article edited and on the website.
Please send any material no later than 20 October. Any material provided after this date may only be uploaded on the website post-Africa Tech Festival.

Pre-Event Guide Inclusion
Our pre-event guide inclusion enables you to create brand visibility and hype with our 2023 registered attendees before Africa Tech Festival, as well as increases the chance of attracting the right prospects by being one of the first to engage with your audience.
If your contract includes this new feature, please fill out the appropriate materials collection form and we will add your profile to the event guide as soon as possible.
Africa Tech Festival: Standard Sponsorship Materials Collection

- Company logo

- Company event booth location (if applicable)

- Company message (50 words): summary, call to action, etc
- Company Social Media Links (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc.)
Africa Tech Festival: Enhanced Sponsorship Materials Collection
Please complete this form to submit your required sponsorship materials:
- Company logo
- Company website, destination URL
- Company event booth location (if applicable)
- Company image
- Company message (100 words): summary, call to action, etc.
- Link for “Contact Sponsor” information: email address, sales form, or calendar function
- 1x related resource asset (i.e., video, white paper, eBook, etc.)
- Company Social Media Links (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc.)
Onsite Interviews
In your contract, you may be entitled to an onsite Interview with your nominated spokesperson conducted by the Connecting Africa team during Africa Tech Festival.
Specifications:
- Interviewee’s first and last name (as you would like it shown on video)
- Job Title Company name (as you would like it shown on video)
- Interviewee’s email address
- Interviewee’s contact number or PA’s contact number
- Please provide the date and time of the interviewees speaking session (if applicable)
- Once we have this information, we will send over information about the interview to the Interviewee such as, date and time (a calendar invite will also be sent) and interview pointers
