Yu PuIoT SOC Lead at Alibaba
Yu Pu received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, in 2009. From 2009 to 2011, he was a research assistant professor with the University of Tokyo, Japan. From 2011 to 2012, he was a Research Scientist with the Accelerator Team, IBM Research Zurich, Switzerland. From 2012 to 2013, he was a Principal Scientist with NXP Research Netherlands, where he led R&D in always-on processors in premium-tier mobile devices. From 2014 to 2019, he was with Qualcomm Research, San Diego, USA. He is now the lead SoC architect in Alibaba, leading R&D in low-power SoC for IOT & edge computing at scale to facilitate the cloud-to-edge & end-to-end infrastructure. He has (co-)authored more than 40 papers and hold over 20 US patents. He is adjunct professor in Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU) and Zhejiang University (ZJU) in China.
